Ginger chutney /Dip | Side Dish for Idli / Dosa



Ginger which we know aid for digestion  ,high in gingerol as substance high in anti-inflammatory and antioxidant property.Ginger can be used either in fresh or dried form.It cures stomach upsets,diarrhea,morning sickness  nausea and vomiting after surgery, as well as loss of appetite.Try to add this ginger in any food in  you meal either while cooking or while making any beverages.This chutney is one form of eating ,if don't like the aroma of ginger it will be difficult for you to eat this,in that case add little jaggery with it.

Pasta is a staple food of traditional Italian cuisine.Typically pasta is a noodles made with durum wheat flour mixed with water and formed in to different sheets or various size which is then cooked and form various dishes.Pastas may be available in two categories fresh and dried.Fresh pasta are traditionally produced by hands with a aid of simple machine where else dried pasta commercially produced by food extrusion process.

Basic pasta dough is made with wheat flour or semolina with durum wheat used mainly  in south Italy.Other grains like barley,buckwheat,rye,rice and even chestnut and chickpeas flour were regionally used.

Andhra Pesarattu | Whole Moong Dal Dosa | Indian Breakfast Recipe

Pesarattu is one of Andhra's delicacies which is made with moong dal and no urad dal is added to it.It is nutritious and high in fibre. While searching i read that this dosa is served along with upma in restaurants there but i just serve with coconut chutney.Since it has more fibre it will be hard to eat more that two and make us feel full in stomach. Fermentation is not required for this dosa variety you directly make dosa once you ground the batter only the soaking time. Do try this healthy dosa with mung beans.

I love all kerala delicacies and i don't know why  may be because i was born and brought near to that state and the taste of coconut oil makes me carve for their food.This preserve with jack fruit is also one of Kerala's recipe which they make and keep it for further use when they get jack fruit in abundances.I adopted this recipe slightly from here.I have plans to make two new recipes with and will post it as i prepare.

When i got few packets of Eastern masala of their newly introduced one i was super excited to try it out in my kitchen.Some of it were regular masalas like sambar powder,pepper chicken powder but there were some packets of 3 step easy cooking masala where one just have to mix it in the  needed solution, cook and serve.I just loved this version of masala were we don't need to think whether our pantry is stocked up with necessary masala powders of that concerned dish since this ready to cook pack have all in it.

Mini Bundt Cake | Butterscotch Bundt Cake | Eggless &Butterless



After starting to write blog i go crazy :Dover probs and baking supplies,when ever i saw any baking pan/baking accessories i immediately grab one for me.I have some collections of it yet my craze doesn't end even now if i sit down to browse i look in :-w for baking pans/dishes in online stores.This mini bundt pan i got when we went to Dubai and a pie cum bundt cake pan also.It was quite a long time i haven't used since i bought it so decided to bake a cake when i made the butterscotch sauce.Trust me both the sauce and cake was soo yummy and my daughter use to lick the sauce daily.

This is my daughter's favorite recipe and whenever i am out any dough in refrigerator i opt this as breakfast during lazy weekend.Your kitchen pantry will definitely have the ingredients needed for it. Adding chopped onions in it gives a crunchy effect on biting.There may be any authentic way to make this but i do it in simple way, just mixing, tempering and making crepes.Do give a try. You can also make it without tempering.

Yes from a child to  an adult all enjoy when it downpours.For a child raining is mere playing in the water with their handmade paper boat or whatever they get.For school going children raining means it's a holiday and they enjoy the day chatting,giggling with friends on line.For fathers it's their leisure time to watch their favourite news channels or red through a book. and really its the mother who struggle a lot to tackle all of them.

Climate in Chennai is playing hide & seek sometimes hot and sometime cool.Mostly days are hot and day end are cool a bit with pleasant breeze.Although the temperature is not so as it was during peak summer but we feel a bit dehydrated in noon.So to chill my day time i go on with juices and lemonade.I had a pack of sabja seeds unnoticed for a long time which i actually bought to try falooda,another famous cold beverage in our country.These seeds which look like black sesame seeds has many good qualities.When soaked in water it becomes jelly like absorbing the water and gives a crunchy feel with bland taste. It is the best coolant and can be used in any cold drink.Made lemonade with this sweet basil seeds.

Every women or girls dream is to have a pimple free,soft ,radiant and glowing skin as they see in commercials.But do all have such, the answer will be mostly no.Very few people are blessed with a clear and beautiful skin and i would say they are very lucky person.I just stare at the  people who pass by having a soft supple face  and admire them a lot.


The climate in our region too make our skin looks dull and toned.We need to take great measures to protect our skin from all the climatic changes we go through.Skin type also plays a major role to get good look.


People with normal skin,i would say they are blessed, because their skin are pimple free and mostly their skin don’t have much effect on using various cosmetic.But a bad thing is that very soon they may lose the oiliness in their face which make them look dull.Hence people with normal skin have to use a moisturiser regularly to keep it young.Applying olive oil daily also make their skin look good.

Rainbow Cupcakes | Kids Party Special


When i bought blue food colour  a year back my plan was to make  rainbow cake or cup cake but it never happened.All needs a time for it to happen  and my long awaited plan happened last week when i baked this cup cakes for an evening snack.It was fun to work with colours and kids enjoy mixing it.I adapted this recipe from allrecipes with slight changes in the ingredients.I don't have red food colour hence used strawberry pink also while mixing for purple i made more blue colour then mixed some pink and got a darkest shade of green.Be careful while adding colours.Do try this your kids.
