Pomegranate Raita | Annar Raita


Sweet juicy pomegranate kernels in mildly spiced curd/yogurt gives this raita a unique taste.This goes well with any Indian rice or can be had as such.I wanted to try this raita for a long time and at last it came true a week before when i purposely kept some to make this.Not only me my kids to loved it and they had it as after school snack.

Prepartion time: 5 mins
Cooking time: nill
Ingredients:
  • Pomegranate kernels-1\2 cup
  • Thick yogurt-1\2 cup
  • sugar-1\2 tsp
  • Red chilly powder-1\4 tsp
  • Roasted cumin/jeera powder-1\2 tsp
  • Chaat masala-1\4 tsp( optional)
  • salt- a pinch
  • Coriander leaves- to garnish



Method:

1.Cut open pomegranate and separate the kernels.

2.Take yogurt,chilly powder,cumin powder, (chaat masala if using),sugar and salt in a bowl.Mix it well it sugar dissolve.

3.To it add the kernels and mix well ,reserve few for topping.


4.Top it with some chopped coriander leaves and the kernels.

Fruity raitha is ready. :x
