Hyderabadi Chicken curry | Chicken Recipe


We all love chicken recipes and i love to try different method with it.Last Sunday i tried this one from priya's space.my daughter who is a spice lover like it more.Thanks priya for this chicken recipes.




Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 20-30 mins

Ingredients:

For marination:


  • Chicken -1\2 kg
  • Salt-1 tsp
  • Curd-1\3 cup
  • Red chilly powder-1\2 tsp


To grind:


  • Dry red chilly-4 to 7
  • Garlic-6 cloves
  • Ginger- 1 inch piece
  • Poppy seeds-2 tsp


Other ingredients:


  • Onion- 2 ,chopped finely
  • Tomato-1 big pureed
  • Turmeric powder-1\2 tsp
  • Red chilly powder-1 tsp
  • Whole spice-cinnamon,cardamon, clove n bay leaf
  • Coriander powder-2 tsp
  • Garam masala-1 tsp
  • Salt-to taste
  • Oil-2 tbsp




Method:

1.Clean the chicken well.marinate it with salt,curd and red chilly powder for 30mins-1 hour.Make a spice paste with the list given under it.

2.Heat oil in a pan add in the whole spices and wait for nice aroma to come.Add in chopped onion,saute till in becomes brown.




3.Now add in the ground paste,all dry powders and the tomato puree(can use cut pieces too).Cook well till it becomes mushy.

4.Then add in chicken together with the marination liquid.cook for some time.Then check for salt and spice.Add a cup of water and cook well till the chicken is done.

5.Switch off at the consistency you want.



Serve for rice or any Indian flat bread.




Note:

1.You can fry the whole spices,powder it and use instead of garam masala for more aromatic curry.
