Chole Masala is another north Indian curry which easy well with batura it also equally taste good with indian flat bread(chapathi) or appam.If you are with the anardhana (pomegranate) powder use it for original Punjabi taste since i don't have i used chole masala.

Ingredients:
- Chick peas- 1 cup
- Onion-1 big chopped
- Tomato-1 big chopped r pureed
- ginger garlic paste-2 tsp
- Red chilly powder-2 tsp
- Turmeric powder-1\2 tsp
- Chole/channa masala-1 tsp
- Green chilly-1
- Salt to taste
- coriander leaves- to garnish
- Oil-1 tbsp
- Cinnamon-1 stick
- cloves-2
- cardamon-2
Method:
1.Soak chick peas over night.In the morning clean well and pressure cook it with little salt and water.Drain water and keep ready.Reserve the water we can use it in gravy.
2.Heat oil in a kadai and add in all the whole spices followed by onion.Saute till it becomes light brown color.then add in green chilly and ginger garlic paste.Cook till raw smell goes.
3.Then add in chopped/pureed tomato ,cook till oil separates on top.Then add all dry powders and salt.
4.Now add the cooked chick peas with some reserved water.Wait for it to boil and becomes little thick.Check for salt ,lastly add chopped coriander leaves,switch off.
Serve for batura or even rice.
