If you are a sea food lover then this post is for you.yes its nandu kuzhambu.Honestly speaking i have never tasted or ate nandu before marriage as my mum always give us sea food that was without thorns.But life changed after marriage.My H eats all sea food variety and i too got caught in it.But to too eat crab one needs more time for breaking the shells but my sweet H do this for me i just eat the flesh(he cooks it also).Yesterday i tried my hand to make it and it was soooo yummy and i have decided to make it often.

Serves-2 to 3
Ingredients:
- Crab/nandu-1\2 kg
- Oil-1 tbsp
- Whole spices-cardamon,clove,cinnamon and bay leaf
- Onion-1 big ,chopped
- Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
- Tomato-1 big chopped
- Red chilly powder-1 tsp
- coriander powder-1 n 1\2 tsp
- Turmeric powder-1\2 tsp
- Garam masala-1\2 tsp
- salt to taste
- coriander leaves
To grind:
- coconut pieces-1\3 cup
- Poppy seeds-1 tsp
- Fennel seeds-1\2 tsp
Method:
1.Clean the crab well.Grind coconut,poppy seeds and fennel seeds to fine paste with some water.
2.Heat oil in a pan,add in the whole spices and wait for a nice aroma to comes,then add in onion ,saute till it becomes translucent.then add in ginger garlic paste saute till raw smell goes.
3.Then add in tomato,cook till mushy.then add all dry powders followed by cleaned crab/nandu toss well.cover and cook for some time(don't add water).
4.After 5 mins open add the coconut paste with some water.check for salt and spice.Add little coriander leaves (keep some for garnishing)cover and till oil separates.
Garnish with reserved leaves and serve for rice or idli/dosa.
