Tricolor Mini Idli | Breakfast Recipe | Independence day special


As Independence day is nearing i want to try tricolour themed recipes which i got influenced last year when saw many bloggers did.When i went for grocery shopping i bought this mini idli plate and tried this tri colour mini idli.Nothing so special just  made tomato chutney ,coriander chutney mixed some portion of batter and steamed it.



Main ingredient:

Idli batter-ready made or homemade(click here for homemade batter)

For tomato chutney

  • tomato-1
  • Onion-1
  • oil-a tsp
  • Red chilly powder-1\2 tsp
  • Salt to taste


For coriander chutney

  • Coriander leaves-1\4 bunch
  • Green chilly-1 r 2
  • tamarind-very small piece
  • salt to taste



Method:

1.For tomato chutney: In a tsp of oil saute onion and tomato till raw smell goes.Cool a bit and grind with red chilly powder,salt.To it mix some idli batter.(don't add water while making chutney).

2.For coriander chutney:Just all everything make a paste,add some batter and you green idli batter is ready.

3.Take a mini idli pan pour a tsp of the all three batter and steam it.




Easy and colourful mini idli is ready.


Note:

1.You can make regular big idlis too with the batter.
