This is the one which i made to accomplish the chickpeas pulao which i made one Sunday.It was mild spicy,tasty and easy to make though the ingredients lists long.Thank you priya for the recipe.

Serves-2 to 3
Ingredients:
To marinate:
- Chicken-1\2 kg
- Turmeric powder-1\2 tsp
- salt-1\2 tsp
To grind:
1st batch
- Ginger-1 inch
- garlic -5 pods
- green chilly-1
2nd batch
- Grated coconut-1\3 cup
- poppy seeds- 1 tsp
3rd batch
- Cinnamon-1inch piece
- cardamon-3
- cloves-3
- fennel seeds-1\2 tsp
- cumin seeds-1\2 tsp
- Bay leaf-1
Other ingredients:
- Onion-1 big chopped
- Tomato-1,pureed
- Red chilly powder-1 tsp
- Coriander powder-1 tsp
- Garam masala-1\2 tsp
- Jeera powder-1\4 tsp
- oil-2 tbsp
- salt to taste
- coriander leaves- to garnish
Method:
1.Clean the chicken well and marinate it with turmeric powder and salt for 1\2 an hour.Grind each batches and keep ready.
2.Heat oil in a thick bottom pan(i used my cooker),add the powdered spice of batch 3 and saute for few seconds and then add onion ,saute till it becomes translucent.
3.Then add in batch 1 and cook till raw smell goes.Then add pureed tomato ,cook for a while.Add in all dry powder except garam masala and ground coconut.Add some water and cook for while.
4.Then add in the marinate chicken pieces and cook till oil separates on top.Lastly add garam masala ,chopped leaves and close for the flavour to mix in.
Serve hot with your favourite main dish.We had it with chick peas pulao.
