Eggless Ferrero Rocher Tart | Eggless Baking Challenge


For the September month eggless challenge group , Priya Srinivasan of Enveetu kitchen
suggested this tart recipe .The original recipe is from trissalicious,i made slight changes in it.Since i did not have hazelnut i substituted it with almonds which i had.




ferrero rocher tart

For Base tart:


  • flour-3\4th cup
  • wheat flour-3\4th cup
  • Sugar-1\4 cup
  • curd/yogurt-1\4 cup
  • cold butter-50gms
  • cocoa powder- 2 tbsp
  • baking powder- 1\2 tsp


Method:

1.Whisk powdered sugar with butter.sieve both flours with baking powder and cocoa powder.
2.To the whisk mix add yogurt and mix then fold in the flour mix and knead to a dough.
3.Cover it and keep in fridge for an hour.then take out ,roll small round from a portion of the dough and press in a tart pan or muffin pan.
4.Pierce with fork and bake it in a pre heated oven for 10 mins at 180deg C.
5.Cool completely.



Hazelnut Mousse:


  • Milk- 1 cup
  • Castor sugar-5 tsp
  • Vanilla custard powder- 3 tsp
  • nutella- 2 tbsp
  • cream- 1\3 cup
  • china grass- little



1.Mix custard,sugar and nutella.Boil milk and add the mix in to it and mix well without any lumps till it becomes thick.
2.Soak china grass in water bring to boil till it dissolve.Pour it over the prepared custard.
3.Whip the cream to peak and add it to the cooled custard mix.
4.Keep  it  refrigerate till use.



Caramelised almond:


  • Almond/hazelnut- 100gms
  • sugar- 1\4 cup
  • water-3tbsp


1.Toast almond till a nice aroma comes it,then cool it.
2.boil sugar and water till it bubbles,then add the toasted almond to it.The syrup will change colour to  brown,remove from the fire and spread it on a sheet.
3.Pulse some of the nuts most of it to a coarse and keep few for topping.




Chocolate Hazelnut thing:


  • nutella- 2 tbsp
  • Dark chocolate-1\3 cup(broken pieces)
  • oil- 1 tsp
  • honey- 2tsp
  • Crushed nuts

1.Except the nut microwave/double boil all the ingredients for 30 sec.
2.then add the caramelised crushed nut to it and mix well. 


HOW TO ASSEMBLE:

First take the tart,squeeze some hazelnut mousse to it.
Take some chocolate hazelnut thing flatten it and keep over the mousse.
Top it with caramelised  a whole nut.

note:

Since i don't have tart pan i used my muffin pan.
