Does it need any info about his recipe i think no, as all know its an easy ,crunchy ,savoury deep fried balls can be had as like that or mixed in mixture. This can also be mixed in curd/yogurt and had as bhoondi raitha.Try to make this for ur diwali we don't celebrate yet make sweets for kids.
Ingredients:
- Besan flour/kadalai maavu-1\2 cup
- rice flour-1 tsp
- red chilly powder-1\2 tsp
- hing/asafodetia powder -1\4 tsp
- baking soda-a pinch
- cashew & groundnuts- few
- curry leaves-a spring
- garlic crushed-1
- salt to taste
- oil to fry it.
Method:
1.In a bowl add both flours with salt, chilly powder &hing.Mix well.
2.Slowly add water to from a batter not too thick or runny.check it by dropping a spoon back in batter to the hot oil.if it forms balls then it is correct else adjust flour/water.
3.Take perforated ladle.hold it over the hot oil.pour some batter over it and spread to make the drops fall in to the oil.
4.when it becomes golden brown colour drain it out.Do the same for all batter. But after every batch wipe the backside of the perforated ladle.
5.Fry cashew, groundnut, curry leaves & garlic in the oil and add to the fried boondhis and mix well.
Crispy and tasty boondi is ready.
