Easy Funfetti Cake from Starch | Birthday Cake for Kids

I am not a great baker just a beginner in baking and love to try out new ones in baking.As 20th Sept was my son's birthday i made this cake for him.My son love the colour sprinkles  in it and it tasted great.

Ingredients:

• flour-1 &2\3 cup
• baking powder- 1\2 tsp
• baking soda- 1\4 tsp
• salt a pinch
• melted butter-1\2 cup
• white granulated sugar-3\4 cup
• light brown sugar-1\4 cup
• egg-1
• yogurt-1\4 cup
• milk-1\2 to 3\4 th cup
• vanilla-1 tbsp
• colourful sprinkles- 2\3 cup

Method:

1.Spray a baking pan and keep ready.Pre heat the oven.

2.Sieve the flour with baking soda,baking powder and salt.

3.Melt the butter and add both sugar to it and whisk it well.then add in milk,curd egg ,vanilla and beat it well till everything is incorporated well.

4.Gently add  the dry ingredient and mix till no lumps remains.Lastly add the sprinkles and just fold it don't over mix it as the sprinkles will bleed its colour.

5.Pour it to the pan and bake it at 180deg C for 30-35 mins or till a tooth pick inserted comes out clear.

cool it completely and frost it.

For frosting how i did:

• Cream- 1\3 cup(i just had that amt only)(increase it more for creamier one)
• Butter- 1\2 cup
• caster/icing sugar- 2 -3 cups
• vanilla essence- 2 tsp
• sprinkles to top it.

Mix all the above ingredients except sprinkles and cover the cooled cake.

Top it with sprinkles.
