Ragi / Finger millet Flour Sweet Pidi Kozhukattai | Easy and Healthy Kozhukattai

Ragi flour pidi kozhukattai(sweet)

Today is a festival for Hindus,birthday  of one their God Vinaygar,festive wishes for all of them.One this festival one main preparation is kozhukatattai as the God like it the most.Kozhukattai can be prepared by almost all flour.I made some using ragi/bajra flour.Try this easy method.



Ingredients:


  • Ragi flour- 1\2 cup
  • Jaggery- 1\3 cup
  • Grated coconut- 2 tbsp
  • salt  a pinch




Method:

1.Dry roast ragi flour until a nice aroma comes,be careful not to burn it.

2.Dissolve jaggery in 1\4 cup water and boil,switch of when it dissolve and filter the impurities(no need for any string consistency).

3.In a mixing bowl add roasted flour,grated coconut,pinch salt and mix,add jaggery syrup little by little till everything combines together(no need to add all syrup,use as needed).

4.Take a lemon size of it and press it with ur fingers to make impression on it.Do for all the dough.

5.Steam all the kozhukattai in idli pan for 7-10 mins.

Enjoy healthy ragi pidi kozhukattai


Note:

1.You can use sugar also.
