Red kidney beans or Rajma is a pulse used all over the world in variety of dishes like gravies, salads and topping.Its health benefit are numerous some of it are good for brain, provide energy,maintain blood sugar, lowers bad cholesterol,good source of vitamin B and goes on.Try to include this pulse in your diet.One way is to make cutlets and make kids eat,sure they will love it.

Ingredients:
Rajma/red kidney beans- 1 cup
Potato- 2 medium sized
Onion-1
Green chilly-2
Ginger paste- 1\2 tsp
Saunf/fennel seeds- 1\2 rsp
Oil- as needed
Salt to taste
Coriander/cilantro leaves
Bread-2 slices for binding( or flour)
How i made it:
1.Soak rajma for 8 hrs or overnight.Pressure cook it with enough water till it becomes soft.Drain water and keep.
2.MW 2 potato in high for 2-3 mins(u can do it on stove top too).Cool,peel the skin ,mash it and keep ready.
3.In a mixer add the cooked rajma first and pulse it 3-4 times and transfer it to a bowl.
4.Add mashed potato,onion,ginger paste,fennel seeds,coriander leaves to the bowl and mix well.Add bread slice or flour for binding and mix well.
5.Take a lemon size of it,flatten between ur arms and shallow fry them on a tawa.
6.Repeat for all the prepared mix and serve hot with ketchup.
Note:
1.Since i have to give to my kids i reduce the spice level,u can increase it.
2.After flattening it u can dip them in cornflour paste and roll them in breadcrumbs also before frying.
3.You can even add some cooked veggies like carrot and beans to it.
