Restaurant style coconut chutney




Coconut chutney is one common side dish we often make.The combination of idli or dosa with chutney & sambar can't  be expressed in words.If you don't prefer raw flavor of garlic then add ginger in it.

Ingredients:

Coconut-1 cup, loosely packed 
green chilly-2
Roasted gram dal / potukadalai-1 tbsp
garlic pods -1 or 2
salt to taste
 Oil-1 tsp
mustard- 1\2 tsp
curry leaves

Method:

1.Grind together coconut,raosted dal,green chilly,garlic and salt by adding water.

2.Transfer it to a bowl.

3.Heat oil in a pan, pop out mustard,curry leaves and add to it.

Tasty chutney is ready.

Note;

1.In the place of garlic you can also use  1 tsp ginger.I have tried both version and they are equally tasty,
