We all know the health benefits of millets and i need not brief it again for you.They are high in fibre and low in carbohydrates and its best to use millets instead of rice in our diet.Last week for my kids lunch i packed rotis so that i can have millet for lunch.I made with 1\3 cup first the sadam/rice then diluted it with buttermilk and had the porridge.

The difference between this from that is here urad dal is used, whereas in that recipe dal is not used. Ragi/ finger millet is one for the healthiest millet which is very suitable for this summer season. Since it cools our body temperature one should have this millet in any form during summer. Wheat rava idli is a healthy breakfast recipe as we have used wheat instead of regular rice. As wheat is used it is very good even for diabetic people and we find this recipe healthy, tasty and filling. I have used regular broken wheat. But you can also use samba wheat. Clean the wheat rava and soak with less water because after soaking we will not throw out the water. We will use the soaked rava together as such to grind. So use very less water for soaking wheat.

It is the best medicine for it, so people suffering from this disorder consume this easy herb at least once a week. The only place I saw it during our Xmas vacation last year in my FIL's coconut yard. It was seen in abundant there and thought to take some while returning Chennai. But I didn't take.
To say the truth I haven't seen or eaten it before or after marriage.

To be honest I have never eaten this idli before until I made it at home. When I was blank what to make for breakfast the next day this idli came into my mind. While searching I found out people use raw & boiled rice together along with some spice in the idli batter. Mix well and steam it.

Instant dosa comes as a savior when we don't find time to grind idli/dosa batter or when clueless what to be cooked for breakfast/dinner. As millet flour is used init this dosa happens to be a healthy one. As I mentioned in my previous post, Kadamba chutney, I served this dosa with that chutney. Here I have used ragi flour but I guess you can use any millet flour in a similar way to make this dosa. If I try with other flour sure I will write about it here.
