Spinach Buns | Masala Palak Pav | Healthy Pav/Bun

Spinach Buns | Masala Palak Pav | Healthy Bun

Masala Spinach pav/buns with step by step pictures.

Spinach is a healthy green which is used widely everywhere. We can make a variety of dishes with this healthy green, together with dal or just stir fry or in salad and many more. Add its puree to make Indian flatbread varieties is also a way of including it. Here I have used the puree to make buns/pav. Adding other spices to it make this pav and an excellent snack or a dinner roll.

Chicken momos

Chicken momos with step by step pictures.

In my momos chutney post I have mentioned about this chicken momos only. I would say the momos recipe looks somewhat similar to our south Indian kozhukattai recipe. I momos the outer dough is made of maida/flour where in kozhukattai it will be rice flour. In the former we use veggie or non-veg stuffings whereas in kozhukattai we use sweet/savory stuffing and it is mostly used as festive recipe/snack/dessert.

Bhindi Masala | Side dish for roti/ chapati

Bhindi masala with step by step pictures.

Bhindi masala is a quick dish that you can make for roti or chapati. It can be made dried or semi-dried. for a completely dried version avoid adding onion or tomato. But when making for roti we always prefer little masala. So add onion which gives body for this masala. If you have less quantity of bhindi you can add capsicum to increase the masala quantity.

Thinnai Idli | Foxtail Millet Idli | Healthy Recipe

Thinnai Idli | Foxtail Millet Idli | Healthy Recipe

Thinnai/Foxtail millet idli with step by step pictures.

Foxtail millet idli is a healthy breakfast option in place of regular idli. I have tried idli with other millet, but in all, I have used some rice to make the batter. But in this millet idli I haven't used any rice and yet the idli turned soft. Some other idli recipes in my space include ragi instant idli, fermented ragi idli, kodo millet idli,  etc.

Vegetable Kara Panniyaram | Breakfast/ Dinner Recipe

When its panniyaram, I always make sweet one for snacks ( may be because of my sweet tooth). My daughter always insist me to make kara/savory.Very rare I make kara panniyaram by mixing residual idli batter with avaliable flours in my pantry. One day when I want to make a different dinner apart from roti/rice I made this panniyaram with my left over millet dough along with fresh vegetables. Here I have used the vegetable as such but if you prefer you can slightly saute them in oil and add it to the batter.
