Ragi Poori/Puri | Breakfast Recipe | How to make millet Poori


Ragi poori with step by step pictures.
Poori/puri is a deep fried recipe.Although deep fried it is not an issue in having it once a while for breakfast.My son loves poori and insists me to make every week.Due to the deep fry technique, I avoid it.

Last time when I made this poori/puri I made it little healthy by adding ragi/finger millet flour.I used an equal portion of wheat and ragi flour.

Ingredients:

  • Ragi flour-1\2 cup
  • Wheat flour-1\2 cup
  • Salt-1\2 tsp
  • Oil-2 tsp + to deep fry

Method:

1.In a mixing bowl add ragi-wheat flour, salt, oil, and mix.Then slowly add water and make a soft dough.Make balls out of it, cover and keep it for a while.

2.Roll each ball into circular shape.

3.Heat oil and fry the rolled balls till in puff it up.

4.Do the same for all balls.

Serve ragi poori with your favorite side dish.
