When the climate is bit cool automatically we long to have some deep fried pakoras/pakoda for snacks.Yesterday when the weather here in Chennai was cool so i made up my mind to make this pakoras for evening snack.To make it bit healthy i used spinach/palak leaves for it.Do try and enjoy with a cup of hot tea/chai.
Cooking time: under 30 mins
Serves: 2 to 3
Ingredients:
- Spinach/palak leaves- from half bundle
- Bengal gram/besan flour- 1 cup
- rice flour- 1 tbsp
- Red chilly powder- 1 tsp
- omam/ajwain-1\2 tsp
- chopped ginger- 1\2 tsp
- Onion.chopped -from 1\2 onion
- salt -to taste
- oil- for deep frying
1.Clean the leaves well and chop it finely.( use only the leaves).
2.In the bowl add in add ingredients except oil and mix well.First don't add water if needed just sprinkle very little and form the dough as shown.
3.Heat oil in a pan.Drop small portion of the prepared dough in to the hot oil and deep fry it.
4.When done drain it into tissue paper to remove excess oil.
Serve hot with some ketchup for tea/coffee.
Note:
1.Taste good when served hot.
2.Adjust spice level accordingly.
