Method:
1.Pressure cook the baby potato for a whistle,cool and peel the skin.Add the ingredients under " to marinate" and mix well.Clean and soak the basmathi rice for 20-30 mins.
2.Dry roast red chilly and coriander seeds,cool and grind it to fine paste with some water and the other ingredients to grind.Fry the marinate potatoes and keep ready.
3.Heat ghee/oil in a cooker/rice cooker/thick pan and temper with the tempering ingredients given.then add onions and saute till translucent.Then add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes.
4.Then add the ground paste and saute for a while.Followed by tomato puree,fried potatoes ,garam masala and salt.
5.then add water and allow it to just boil,then add the rice .cover and cook till its done.
serve hot with simple onion raitha.

- water-2 cup

- Bay leaf
- Cinnamon
- clove
- cardamon
