My son is a die hard lover of chicken popcorn,when ever we got to any fried chicken retail outlets the first item he would order is chicken popcorn.I already have a chicken popcorn recipe in my space ,the difference between this and that is the exterior coating and some ingredients.To make the popcorn chicken look similar too that available in the outlets i coated it with oats & corn flakes.
Do try this method which looked exactly like the one available there.
Preparation time: 10 mins
cooking time: 15 mins

Method:
1.Clean the chicken well and cut in to small pieces.
2.In a bowl add chilly powder,pepper powder,turmeric powder,garam masala,onion powder ( if using), gg powder,salt & corn flour.Add little water and make a dropping consistency batter.In a plate keep ready oats &crush corn flakes .
3.Heat oil in a pan.Take a chicken piece dip it in the prepared batter ,then roll it over the oats& corn flakes.Do the same for all pieces.Fry these pieces in hot oil.When done drain excess oil over paper towel.
Serve hot as such or with ketchup.

- Red chilly powder- 1 tsp (adjust)
- Pepper powder-1\2 tsp
- Turmeric powder-1\4 tsp
- corn flour-2 tsp
- onion powder-1 tsp( optional)
- garam masala-1\2 tsp
- ginger & garlic powder-1\2 tsp each( see notes)
- salt to taste
- oats-2 tsp
- corn flakes-2 tbsp ( crushed)
- oil-to deep fry

Notes:
1.If you don't have ginger & garlic powder make ginger garlic paste and add to it.
2.You can also prepare this in advance and keep it refrigerated and fry when needed.
This recipe is very good and easy to make.
