In my previous post of kozhukkai( Foxtail millet paal kozhukatai) i wrote about another version than this is the one.Yes this is a stuffed version of healthy kozhukattai ,try making these and enjoy the festival.
Ingredients:
Outer dough:
Method:
1.In a non stick pan add in grated coconut,jaggery,dry ginger powder(if using) and elachi powder.Keep sauteing till it leaves the sides.This is the sweet filling for the kozhukattai.
2.In a deep wide bowl add all the ingredients for outer dough.Add in some 2 -3 cup hot water.Mix and keep in heat.Keep stirring till it forms a non sticky dough.Knead well and keep closed from drying.
3.Take lemon sized dough of it make a cup of it.From the sweet filling prepared before take small lemon sized and keep it inside as shown and seal it.Do the same for all.
4.Arrange it in a idli plate and steam it.That's it tasty and healthy modak is ready.
Note:
1.You can do alone with foxtail millet flour but it felt difficult to get anon sticky dough so i added rice flour.
2.Can use other millet flours too.

- rice flour-1\4 cup
- salt -1\2 tsp
- Ghee-1 tsp
- Grated coconut-1 cup
- Powdered jaggery-3\4 cup
- ginger powder- a pinch(optional)
- Elachi powder-little
