Adai is nothing but a crepes made with mixture of lentils and rice.Its a protein power packed,filling food to start your day.This crepes doesn't need any fermentation ,u can make it immediately.
Ingredients:
- Raw rice- 1\2 cup
- Par boiled rice- 1\2 cup
- Toor dal- 1\4 cup
- Urad dal- 1\4 cup
- Channa dal- 1\4 cup
- Yellow moong dal- 1\4 cup
- Red chilly- 3 to 4
- Hing powder- 1 tsp
- Curry leaves
- Onion-1
- Oil to spread (preferable gingelly/sesame oil)
- salt to taste
Method:
1.Soak dals and rice separately for 2-3 hrs with the red chillies.
2.Drain the water and ground it to a batter with some water.No need to be fine .
3.Add chopped onions and curry leaves,add hing powder,salt and mix well.
4.Heat a dosa pan/griddle,take a big spoon of batter and spread on the hot tawa.Apply oil around it.
5.When cooked on one side flip over and cook on other side.
Serve how with any chutney.
I love to eat it with sugar.
Note:
1.You can immediately make dosai or keep aside for some time and make.I just made it immediately.
2.You can do variation with adai/savoury pan cake,will post later.
