For a long i want to try my hands on making this murukku i wander how fast people swirl for it.One day i made batter for it but i couldn't get the swirl correctly.Two weeks before again i tried i was almost ok.But i guess with experience we can make it perfectly.I got the recipe from here made slight change.

Soaking time: 3 hrs
Cooking time: 30 mins
Makes-12-15 small ones

Ingredients:
- Raw rice-1 cup
- Fried gram/pottukadalai/chutney dal-1\4 cup
- Butter/oil-1\4 cup
- Black sesame/til seeds-1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil to fry
Method:
1.Soak rice for 3 hrs and grind it to fine paste adding little water.Powder the fried dal.
2.To the ground paste add powdered dal,sesame seeds,butter,salt and make a soft dough.
3.Make lemon sized balls of it and make murruku as shown in video.Cover the dough with cloth from drying.Do for all dough.
4.Fry them in small batches ( 3 r 4) till it is nicely browned.Drain excess oil.Do the same for all dough.
Cool and store in air tight container.

Note:
1.the original recipe used boiled rice but i replaced it with raw rice.
