Last week my daughter had one day holiday,she was so bored with no activities asked me whether she bake a cake and will take it to her friends,i said ok.I just gave instruction she did and asked me to post it in my blog for valentine's day.It very easy,even children can do.Try it
Preparation time: 15 mins
Baking time-30 mins
Makes 5" inch round cake
Serves-5 to 6
Ingredients:
- wheat flour-1\2 cup
- Maida/APF-1\2 cup
- Egg-1
- Melted butter/Oil-1\3 cup
- Granulated sugar-1\2 cup
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder-4 tsp
- Baking powder-1 tsp
- Baking soda-1\4 tsp
- Milk-1\4 to 1\2 cup
- Vanilla essence-1\2 tsp
For chocolate sauce:
- Cooking chocolate shaves-1\4 cup
- Milk-1\3 cup
- Sugar-2 tsp
- Corn flour-1 tsp
Method:
1.Sieve both flour with baking powder,baking soda and cocoa powder.
2.Cream butter/oil with sugar.Add in egg and beat well.Gently add the flour mix and mix well.Add milk to get the required consistency.Also add essence,mix it.
3.Bake it in a pre-heated oven at 180 deg C for 25-30 mins or till done.Cool it well and demould it.
To prepare sauce:
1.Mix corn flour in little milk.Take this,chocolate ,sugar an d milk in a sauce pan and cook till it becomes sauce consistency.
cool the sauce and pour it over the cooled cake.Top it with colourful sprinkles.
Note:
1.Baking time may vary from oven to oven.
