Black Channa Masala | Kale Channa Masala | Side dish for Roti/Chapathi
Black channa masala with step by step pictures.
Usually, I am not much interested in this black channa aka kale channa and I always end up buying White channa/Kabuli channa.the main reason is this black variety takes much time to get cooked and even after pressured cooked well I would feel that it is not much cooked and my kids too don't like this variety.

Small Onion/Shallots Pickle | Chinna Vengayam Thokku
I"m fond of a brand's small onion pickle which I will finish off in a day or two whenever I get it.Usually, I don't buy small onion due to the difficulty in peeling it.But when I have it I try to use more of it and this recipe rose like it.I try to replicate that brand pickle, though it was different in taste from the store bought one I loved it to the core.

Red Rice Appam | Healthy South Indian Breakfast
We all have seen and ate white appam/paal appam which is quite famous down in south Indian.I make the batter for appam every alternate week.Last time I bought a pack of red rice to experiment with it and make two breakfast recipes and one of it is this appam.I taste similar to white rice appam but with added health benefits.

Simple yet flavorful chutney/ thogayal that goes well with idli, dosa, othappam or even can mix with hot steamed rice.Usually, when I get a bunch of curry leaf every time I buy vegetables half of it goes to trash as I just use it for tempering.Last time when I got some I decided to make some thogayal/dip to mix with rice.This summer I have decided to make more thogayal for rice than kuzhambu.So stay tuned to some dip which I make this season.
