Homemade garam masala powder with step by step pictures.Making own spice powder is the best, economical and aromatic.do you believe I have never bought readymade garam masala if and only if I get any product for review.I simply ground cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom and use as garam masala when I don't have any other spices.
When my pantry is stocked with all whole spice I use it to make an aromatic garam masala which can never be replaced by store bought one.Everyone has their own version of making this masala powder and here is my own version.
Roasting time: 1 min
Preparation time:1 min
Ingredients:
- Bay leaves-2
- Cinnamon-2 stick
- Cloves-1 tbsp
- Cardamom-1 tbsp
- Black cardamom-1
- Star anise-2
- Mace-1 piece
- Fennel seeds-1\2 tbsp
Method:
1.Dry roast all the above spice in a pan for a minute without burning it.
2.Cool and grind it into a fine powder in a dry mixer/coffee grinder.
3.Cool and store it in a dry container.
Notes:
1.This is my own version of making garam masala.
2.You may see it little coarsely powdered, I mostly prefer so but you can grind it finely.
