Easy Sabzi for Roti | Sabzi with Green Peas & Red Carrot


An easy sabzi with winter vegetable fresh green peas and red carrots which are seen abundant in markets nowadays.After making carrot halwa I was left with some red carrots and I want to use it in a different way.When I saw the recipe here I decided to try with adding capsicum and it turned out tasty.I just take around ten minutes to make this side dish.If you don't get red carrot use a regular one.


Preparation time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 10 mins
Serves2-3

Ingredients:

  • Fresh green peas-1 cup
  • Red carrot-1, cubed
  • Bell pepper-1, cubed
  • Onion-1, chopped
  • Green chilly-1
  • Ginger garlic paste-1\2 tsp
  • Tomato-1
  • Garam masala-1\2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1\4 tsp
  • oil-1 tbsp
  • Jeera-1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves

Method:

1.Heat oil in a pan.Add jeera followed by chopped onion and saute.Then add ginger garlic paste saute till the raw smell vanishes.

2.Then add chopped carrot and green peas.Add in all spice powder and salt.Cover and cook for some time.


3.When half did, add chopped tomato & capsicum.Cook for 1-2 minutes.


4.Add chopped coriander leaves and switch off.

Serve for Indian flat bread like roti, naan, etc.
