I guess i baked a cake after a couple of months yes my oven was idle for a long only with some cookies i did with it.This week i was so eager to bake a cake decided to do my own imagination with nuts & spices which led to this spiced walnut cake.
- Apf/Maida-1 cup
- corn flour-1 tbsp
- condensed milk-1\3 cup
- honey-1 tbsp( optional)
- baking powder- 1 tsp
- nutmeg powder-1\4 tsp
- cinnamon powder-1\4 tsp
- Walnut-1\3 cup- crushed
- cooking oil/ melted butter-1\3 cup
- vanilla essence-1 tsp
- milk-1\4 cup ( or as needed)
!.Sieve both flour with baking powder, cinnamon powder and nutmeg powder.Crush walnut and keep ready.
2.In a mixing bowl add condensed milk ,essence ,oil and mix well.Add the flour in batch and whisk well.If its difficult to mix add some milk.
3.Lastly add in crushed walnut and just mix.Since my batter was less sweet i add some honey to sweeten it.
4.Pour the batter in a prepared pan and bake it in a pre heated oven for 20 mins at 180 deg C or till done.
Cool and slice it.
Serve as snack for tea/coffee.
Note:
1.Baking time vary from oven to oven.
2.You can add any nuts of your choice.
