Need anything else to say about this healthy truffles loaded with walnut.I have a huge quantity of walnut with me,wandering what to do with it,if i notice any recipe with walnut i gather information more about it.Have to scold children for they don't like these nuts and must looks some alternate to make them eat.Got this recipe from here.She used pure coconut palm sugar and its not available in India so i substitute it with brown sugar,If ur in US you will get it there.Try it out.
Ingredients:
- Walnut- 1& 1\2 cup
- Sesame seeds- 3 tbsp
- Brown sugar/coconut palm sugar-3\4 cup
- Unsweetened cocoa powder- 1\4 cup
- Vanilla essence- 1 tsp
- Dessicated coconut/ sesame seeds- for rolling (optional)
Method:
1.Dry roast walnut and sesame seeds separately.allow it cool.
2.Take the nuts and seeds in a blender until it releases oil.
3.Add sugar and essence and blend well to fine paste.
4.Transfer it to a plate.Make small balls with it.
5.Roll each ball on cocoa powder,these balls will absorb the cocoa and would become dark brown.
6.Roll it back on dessicated coconut or sesame seeds.
Chocolaty and healthy truffle is ready.
Note:
1.You can use either black or white sesame seeds,i have used white one here.
