Murukku /Chakli is one Indian snack which is widely prefered by all people to munch on with evening tea.Tough it it deep fried people prefer it and is mostly prepared in all house holds for any festival.Add spinach/palak to it make it healthy , right?. I have also added few mint leaves in addition to spinach for an extra flavor/aroma.

Makes- 15-20 murukku
Ingredients:
- Rice flour/Idiyappam flour-1 cup
- Besan flour- 1\4 cup
- Spinach leaves-5
- Mint leaves- 2 stalk
- Green chilly-1
- Hing -1 tsp
- Salt- to taste
- Butter/ghee-1 tbsp
- Oil- to deep fry
1.Cut the stalk part and use the leaves of palak.Clean and chop it.Grind together palak,mint and green chilly to a paste with some water.
2.In a mixing bowl add rice flour,besan flour, ground paste,hing salt,butter and mix well first.( I forgot to add butter so I added it lastly).
3.Add water and a soft dough without any cracks.Grease the murukku presser with oil and fill the prepared dough.
4.Make spiral shapes by pressing the presser.Fry them in a batch of 3-5 on hot oil.
5.When done remove from oil .Cool and store it.
Serve as snack.
Adding the palak makes it healthy,my kids love this murukku and call it as green murukku :)
