I have posted many sandwich recipes on my blog, to add to the list here is my first non-veg sandwich with chicken and egg.Here I have used egg omelet in addition but you can avoid it if you feel its too heavy.This recipe can be made for dinner or breakfast, I made it for dinner.I just fried the marinated chicken but you can also boil the chicken, add spices and make the sandwich.
Preparation time: 10 Mins
Cooking time: Under 30Mins
Ingredients:
- Brown/white bread (I used brown bread)
- Mayonnaise or Cheese spread
- Boneless chicken -1 cup
- Red chilly powder-1\2 tsp
- Turmeric powder-1\4 tsp
- Pepper powder-1\2 tsp
- Garam masala-1\4 tsp
- ginger garlic paste-1\2tsp
- Salt to taste
- oil to fry
- Vinegar-1\2tsp
- Eggs- 2 or 3
- Onion-1
- Green chilly-1
- Tomato-1
Method:
1.Clean the chicken well and cut into small pieces.Marinate with red chilly powder, omeletteturmeric powder, pepper powder, salt, ginger garlic paste, and vinegar.Keep it aside for few minutes.
2.Meanwhile chop onion, green chilly, tomato for an omelette.Beat egg and add the chopped items into it.
3.Shallow fry the marinate chicken and keep aside.Lightly break up the fried pieces.
In the same pan make the omelet.
4.Take a bread slice apply a coat of mayonnaise or cheese spread.Place a portion of an omelet and some fried chicken pieces.
5.Place another bread slice over it and sandwich it in a toaster or pan.
Serve hot when done.
