This another simple and easy recipe that make appearance in the sadya menu.It just so simple to prepare but taste delicious when eaten up with rice.Apart from beans , cabbage, beetroot , and many other vegetables can also be prepared as thoran in the same way.If you are planning for sadya this year do include this recipe as this can be prepared in few minutes where the only time consuming job is chopping of the beans which can also be prepared in advance.

Method;
1.Grind the ingredients given under "to grind" to a coarse paste.
2.Wash and trim the edges of beans.chop it into small pieces.chop onion also.
3.Heat oil in a deep pan, pop out mustard seeds followed by chopped onion & curry leaves.Saute till it becomes translucent.
4.Then add in chopped beans, ground masala,salt and mix well.Just sprinkle water , cover with lid and cook for 6-8 mins.Stir in between to avoid burning at bottom.Switch off.
Serve as side for rice along with sambar ,kuzhambu or rasam.

- oil- 2 tsp
- mustard seeds- 1 tsp
- onion- 1,medium sized
- curry leaves-few
- salt to taste

- Grated coconut-1\2 cup (loosely packed)
- green chilly-2
- jeera-1 tsp
- garlic pod-1
- turmeric powder- 1\2 tsp
