Nuts are rich in good cholesterol which is essential for the good function of our human body. But many avoid eating nuts feeling that will gain weight .This is not true actually good cholesterol does not help in weight gain only the bad cholesterol from refined oil make us obese. When I was watching a TV channel I heard Jamie Oliver saying, a handful of nuts like walnuts, pistachio and badam a day help to increase your lifespan by two years. So lets eat in limit and stay healthy.
When I was thinking what different sweet to make with nuts I first landed on Tarla dal page to try pistachio burfi but it didn't turn out.So I altered it and made this halwa.
Preparation time: 30 mins
cooking time: under 30 mins

- Unsalted pistachio- 1 cup
- Sugar- 3\4 cup
- Water- 1 cup
- Milk or water for grinding - 1 tbsp
- Ghee- 1 or 2 tbsp
- Green food color- little (optional|)
- Silver vark - for decoration ( optional)
Method
1.Soak the nut in warm water for minimum 30 mins.

3.Grind it to fine paste either with water or milk.( I used water).
4.To a non-stick pan add in water and sugar. When it boils and reach bubbling stage add in the ground nut paste along with food color ( if using).
