Cauliflower is one of the seasonal vegetable which is grown from a seed.The white head part is alone eaten.Its one vegetable which has an array of nutrients including minerals,vitamins,antioxidants and other phytochemicals.For weight watcher's this vegetable comes in handy as its not a starchy vegetable and high in natural fibres.One can have it as a salad, soup, cooked with other vegetables or as pot meal where it is cooked with rice and spices.
One major issue while dealing with this flower is that it has minute germs or insects hidden inside the florets.So great care has to be taken to remove it before making any preparation by letting it to be in hot water for a few minutes. If these germs are not removed it may cause stomach upset/poisoning.Preparation time:10 mins

Ingredients:
For frying the florets:
- cauliflower-1
- flour-1\3 cup
- corn flour-1 tbsp
- ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
- chilly powder-1\2 tsp
- salt to taste
- oil-to fry
For sauce:
- oil-1 tbsp
- onion-1 very finely chopped (you can also onion part of spring onions)
- green chilly-1 finely chopped
- garlic pods-5-7,chopped
- tomato sauce-2 tsp
- soya sauce-1 tsp
- salt- to taste
- spring onions- to garnish
Method:
1.Chop the florets of cauliflower carefully.Boil water in a big vessel with little turmeric powder.When it boils switch off ,add the chopped florets and cover it for a while.(this is to remove all germs/insects hidden).After 5-8 minutes drain the water and keep ready.
2.In a mixing bowl all the ingredients except cauliflower in " for frying the florets".Add water and make a paste.Heat oil in a pan.Dip each florets in the prepared batter and drop it into the hot oil.Fry till it becomes crispy.Drain it and do the same for all florets.
3.Heat oil in a pan.add in chopped onion,garlic and green chilly.Saute for a while.
4.Add in both sauce and salt.Add in fried pieces and toss well till it coats on all sides.Lastly add green leaves of spring onions and switch off.
Serve hot as a starter or snack.
