Temperature is steadily increasing day by day and it has become difficult to with stand the heat.To say the truth I don't feel to cook anything these days and you can clearly see that I my blog where I posted very few recipes this month.If this happens now means can't imaging how it would be in April-may , when summer is peak.Try to drink more water and keep yourself hydrated ,avoid more spices in curries/gravies and make more meals with vegetables than meats.
This raita is so simple which can be had as such or as side for any parathas.Its so simple just mix grated carrot in thick yogurt along other flavorling spices.Tempering/tadka is purely optional but I personally prefer it as it give and complete look to it.
Ingredients:
- Grated carrot- from a carrot (reserve little for garnishing)
- thick yogurt-1\2 cup
- green chilly,very finely chopped-1\2 tsp
- roasted jeera powder-1 tsp
- chat masala-1\4 tsp
- salt- to taste
- corinader leaves
To temper:
- oil-1\2 tsp
- mustard-1\4 tsp
- curry leaves-few
Method:
1.Whisk the curd well.Add in grated carrot,chat masala,jeera powder,green chilly ,salt and mix well.
2.Temper with the ingredients given and add to it.
3.Garnish with reserved carrot and coriander leaves.serve.
