Radish Leaves Stir fry | Radish Leaves- Moong Dal Stir fry | Side Dish for Rice


Today I here with a healthy stir fry recipe with the greens of radish ,yes its with the leaves of radish/mooli. Whenever you see these greens at markets/departmental stores don't hestitate to pick a bunch as its very healthy and tasty.Also it hardly take around fifteen minutes to prepare this.Do give a try this green once and I am sure you will  make it again and again.

Preparation time: 5 mins
cooking time: 10 mins
Serves: 2-3

Ingredients:

  • Radish leaves- from one bunch of radish
  • moong dal -1 tbsp
  • oil-2 tsp
  • mustard-1 tsp
  • jeera-1\2 tsp
  • garlic pods-3
  • onion-1
  • green chilly-1
  • turmeric powder-1\2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • grated coconut-2 tbsp ( optional)
  • sugar-1\2 tsp (optional)



Method:

1.Clean the leaves and chop it finely.clean and soak the dal for some time and drain it.


2.Heat oil in a kadai,pop out mustard and jeera.Add in chopped onion,garlic and green chilly.Saute for a while.

3.Then add in chopped leaves,drained dal,salt,turmeric powder,salt and sugar(if using).Just sprinkle very little water.cover and cook till the dal is cooked.( it should be cooked and also it must retain its shape.).

4.When it is done lastly add grated coconut and switch off.


Tasty and healthy side dish for rice.

Notes:

1.You can make this without dal also.
2.Sugar is added just to retain the green colour.
3.If you are more health consicious then you can avoid coconut but I strongly recommed it.
