Paneer Makhani | Side Dish for Roti /Indian Flat Breads

Any recipe with paneer is much wanted in my house so when ever i go for grocery shopping i see that I grab a pack .Sometimes I make tikka and more often I make gravy for roti/chapathai. like shahi paneer,palak paneer,etc .You can also make sandwich with it.This makhani is so simple to make and i which I have used milk in the place of cream.I didn't follow any recipe and I did it on my own as each one has thier own method of making.

Serves: 2-3

Ingredients:
  • Paneer-200 gms ( i used store brought one)
  • oil-2 tsp
  • jeera-1 tsp
  • tomato-1 big
  • ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
  • red chilly powder- 1n 1\2 tsp ( adjust)
  • Turmeric powder-1\2 tsp
  • garam masala/ makhani masala-1 tsp
  • milk /cream-1\4 cup ( i used milk)
  • salt to taste
  • kasuri methi -crushed ,1\2 tsp



Method:

1.Blend the tomato in the mixer.Heat oil in a pan,add jeera.Then add in pureed tomato and saute till raw smell goes.The add in ginger garlic paste,saute.


2.Then add a cup if water and allow it to boil.When it boil well and settle a bit add in dry powders and cubed paneer.Check for spice & salt.

3.When the paneer blends well with the masala add cream/milk and garam/makhani masala.Wait for a boil and switch off.

4.Add crushed dried methis leaves and serve hot for roti/naan..
