Masala Oats | Oats cooked with mixed vegetable | Zero Oil recipe


We all know the health benefits of oats and i  need not explain any about it.Two days back we had bread bhajji for evening snack which made us feel very heavy so we thought to skip dinner,then i made up my mind to cook some low calorie recipe with oats and prepared this.This was super tasty,easy and healthy with added vegetables.
Preparation time: under 10 mins
Cooking time: 10 mins
Serves: 2 to 3

Ingredients:
  • Oats-1\2 cup ( i used Quaker oats)
  • Carrot-1 ,very finely cubed
  • Beans-few,finely chopped
  • Onion-1 ,small,chopped
  • Garlic pods-2,chopped(optional)
  • Turmeric powder-1\2 tsp
  • Jeera powder-1\2 tsp
  • pepper powder-1\2 tsp
  • Garam masala-1\2 tsp
  • Salt -to taste
  • coriander leaves-to garnish



Method:

1.Boil two cup water with carrot,beans,onion and garlic(if using).when it is cooked a bit add the oats to it.

2.Add in all dry ingredients and salt to it and cook till it reaches a semi thick consistency.


3.add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.


Taste best when served hot.
