Do I need to say anything about this which is rich, tasty halwa.Badam is a nut which has to be consumed daily.Do practise your children to eat at least five of it daily. In this way once a while you can have because its loaded with sugar and ghee which will increase your calories so better try to eat plain.Slightly adapted from here.

- kesar/saffron-few strands
- milk-1\2 to 1\3 cup

Method:
1.Soak badam in water for 2-3 hours(else you can soak it in hot water for 30 mins).Peel the skin.Grind it to fine paste with some milk.To 1\4 cup hot milk add few strands of saffron.
2.In a non stick pan add sugar and 1\2 cup water, heat and mix till sugar dissolves. Then add in ground badam paste, saffron milk, remaining milk(if any) and food colour.
3.Keep stirring and adding ghee in intervals. At a stage it will leave the sides of the pan.this is the correct stage to switch off.You can see traces of ghee here and there.
Serve warm.Tasty and rich Badam halwa is ready.
note:
