Schools have reopened after summer holidays, mummies will be little worrying what to cook for the kids ,for me to the same.I have toddler who is having full working from this academic year,i was little worried about his lunch,how he is going to eat, but to my surprise he likes what I am giving him for lunch finishes it off. This rice is also one among it, I gave him. Try out this easy,tasty rice.
This is how I made it.
Ingredients:
- Cooked rice- 1 cup
- Carrot- 1 (grated)
- Onion- 1
- Green chilly minced- 1 r 2
- Fennel seeds- 1 tsp
- Cashew- 5
- turmeric powder- 1\2 tsp
- Garam masala- a pinch
- Ghee- 1 r 2 tsp.
- Salt to taste
Method:
1.Heat ghee in a kadai,fry out cashew and take it out.then in the same pan add fennel seeds and let to splutter.
2.Then add sliced onions and green chilly &saute it.
3.Add grated carrot and throw in turmeric powder,salt and cook for 2-3 mins.
in low flame.
4.Add garam masala,cooked rice and just one mix ,switch of the flame.
5.Mix fried cashews to it.Garnish with coriander leaves.
Pack it for ur kids lunch box.
Note:
1.While sauteing if u prefer u can add little ginger garlic paste.
