Mor Kuzhambu | Easy Gravy For Rice | Buttermilk Recipes


Mor Kuzhambu  is one of the easiest and quickest gravy which can be made in jiffy time,apt for lazy days when we feel bored of cooking heavy items.You can make this gravy with  any of these  vegetables lady's fingerfinger,pumkin,cucmber,poosanikai,etc to it.Each one has it own taste & flavor.Everyone have their own version of making mor kuzhambu this is mine.I usually make it without coconut only.





Ingredients:

  • curd/yogurt- 2 to 3 cups
  • Vegetable- 1\2 cup( I use okra/lady's finger)
  • turmeric powder- 1\2 tsp
  • Green chillies-2
  • Salt to taste
  • cilantro/coriander -garnish

To temper:

  • Oil
  • Mustard
  • Hing-1\2 tsp.
  • curry leaves








Method:

1.Whisk the curd with egg beater well.

2.Cook the vegetables until soft.Since I have used okra I just shallow fried it.

3.Heat oil in a kadai,temper it with mustard,hing,curry leaves , add green chillies & then add vegetables ,saute for some time.

4.Add the yogurt to it, add salt & turmeric powder.Heat till it start to raise(will be frothy) (should not boil),turn off stove.

Garnish with coriander and enjoy with rice!!!
