மரவள்ளி கிழங்கு /Tapioca is one of my favorites, which I can take it any time of the day in any way.I like to have it plain with some spicy fish curry and some times I make like this kottu version for rice. This tapioca is available in papad/appalam form in our native district which I never miss buying when we go there.

Ingredients:
- Tapioca- 1\4 kg
- Coconut-1\2 cup
- Red chilly-3 to 4
- Garlic pods-5 to 8
- Jeera/cumin seeds- 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder- 1\2 tsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
1.Peel the skin of tapioca and cut it into small pieces,wash well.
2.Cook with some water till it is little mashable.
3.Meanwhile ground coconut with jeera,garlic pods,turmeric powder,red chili to a coarse texture.
4.Add this mixture to the cooked tapioca, add salt and mix well.
5.Wait for just 3 to 5 min for the masala to blend with kilangu.
Delicious kootu is ready to serve with rice.It will taste heavenly.
Note:
1.In our side, they don't temper this kootu, if needed u may temper it. Else you can add some coconut oil before switching off.
