Pazham Pori is one of the famous snack recipes of Kerala and I just love it.Whenever we use to our native we can see vendors selling them in our hometown station.I rarely make it at home because my daughter loves to eat the banana as such and nothing will be left to make this. One day got some and decided to make it.

Ingredients:


  • Nendram pazham/banana-2(over riped will be tasty)
  • maida/flour- 1 cup
  • Rice flour-1 tsp
  • sugar-3 to 4 tsp
  • turmeric powder- a pinch
  • baking soda-1\4 tsp
  • oil to fry

Instructions:

1.Peel the skin of the banana and cut then into pieces.

2.In a bowl add maida, rice flour, sugar, turmeric and baking soda.Add water little by little and make a thick batter similar to bhaji batter.





3.Heat oil in a Kadai/wok. Dip each piece in the batter and drop it into the hot oil.

4. Fry them till it becomes golden brown. Drain excess oil in a paper towel and serve hot.



Tastes best when served hot with tea.
