Neem Flower-Tamarind Soup | Veppam Poo Rasam | How to make Neem Flower Rasam

Neem Flower is an edible flower with a more medicinal value which I realized later.After coming to this blogging world I have learned more good information regarding food from other blogger's page and I am keener nowadays to health-oriented food.Neem flower aids in digestion and also help to destroy worms in the stomach.


After making pachadi with here I am with another simple recipe rasam with it.In this, I have use readymade rasam powder but you can use your own home based rasam powder also.

Ingredients:

  • Dried neem flower- 1 tbsp (fresh/dried)
  • Ghee/oil-1 Tsp
  • Tamarind -small berry size
  • Rasam powder- 2tsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

1.Soak tamarind in water and extract juice.


2.To the juice add rasam powder, salt and dilute with little more water.

3.Keep in flame and allow it to boil for few minutes.Switch off.


4.Heat ghee/oil in another pan.Add neem flower and saute it well.Add this to the tamarind mix.


Healthy neem flower rasam can be served with rice.
