Paneer Tikka | Stove Top Paneer Tikka

Paneer tikka in stove top. A couple of years back I have paneer tikka using oven method. You can check that recipe here.  Almost the same ingredients I have used here expect that I have used the gas stove for grilling it instead of an oven. Mys kids are very fond of these tikkas whether it's a chicken tikka or this paneer tikka they always fight for it.

Making this is so simple just prepare the masala coat it  over the paneer and leave it to marinate for hours the more you leave the better the masalas would have absorbed by it.

Preparation time 10 mins
Marinating time : Minimum 1 hour to overnight
cooking time :15 mins

Ingredients:

  • Paneer / cottage cheese- 200 gms
  • onion-1
  • bell pepper / cpasicum-1
  • hung curd- 1\2 cup
  • Red chilly powder- 1 tsp
  • garam masala or tandoori masala - 1\2 tsp
  • turmeric powder- 1\4 tsp
  • salt- to taste
  • oil- to fry
.
Method;

1.Cut paneer, onion & capsicum in cube shape.

2.To the hung curd( thick curd) add in all spices except oil and mix well.Marinate  the cubed paneer & veggies in the prepared masala.Kept aside for few hours.

3.Take a wooden skewers arrange paneer, onion and bell pepper one by one.

4.Heat oil in tawa and place the prepared skewer and toast it well. When done on one side turn the other side and cook.Do the same for all sides.

When done serve hot with  mint chutney or  as such.
