Ragi porridge is a healthy and filling one.Usually in my in-laws house many are diabetic and they often take a bowl of it in morning.Yes ragi is very good food for diabetic people.We can make it sweet or salty.My daughter also love this porridge.Its a quick one to fix lazy morning breakfast.
Ingredients:
- Ragi flour-1 tbsp( i used ready made flour)
- milk-1\2 cup
- water-1 cup
- sugar-to taste
- salt-a pinch
- Dry fruits-for topping
Method:
1.In bowl add all ingredients except topping and mix well with out any lumps.
2.Keep in low flame and keep stirring continuously.In about 5-8 mins it will thicken.Switch off.
Top it with nuts and serve warm.
Variations:
-You can add a tsp of flax seed powder and make it more healthy.
-can even add almond flour/meal to it
-for salt version increase salt according to our taste and don't add sugar.
-you can use jaggery instead of sugar.In that case first melt jaggery with some water,filter to remove impurities then add in to it and make porridge.
