Do you have any left over jamun packets and wandering what to do then try this kosta masala.Its super easy and tasty.
Ingredients:
For kofta:
Instant jamun mix packet-1
water
oil to fry them
To grind:
- Onion-1
- tomato-1
- ginger-1 inch piece
- garlic cloves-3
- cashew-few
other ingredients:
- Oil-2 tsp
- red chilly powder-1 tsp
- coriander powder-1 tsp
- turmeric powdr-1\2 tsp
- garam masala-1\4 tsp
- salt to taste.
- kasuri methi /dried fenugreek leaves
- coriander leaves-to garnish
Method:
Kofta:
1.Transfer the jamun mix in to a bowl.slowly add water and make a dough similar to chapati dough.
2.Make small amla size balls of it.Heat oil ,fry them.
Curry:
1.Grind all the ingredients under " to grind" to fine paste.
2.Heat oil in a pan,add the ground paste and saute till raw smell goes.
3.Then add in all dry powder and salt.Add some water and cook for 5 mins till oil floats on top.Lastly add crushed kasuri methi ans switch off.
Serving:
1.Just before serving add the fried kofta balls on top of the gravy.Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve for roti/phulka or any Indian flat bread variety.
Variation:
1.While making kofta balls you can add mashed boiled potatoes and make.But i just made plain.
