Turmeric tea with step by step pictures.
Turmeric is a yellow-orange spice used in curries and sauces. In Indian curries the use of the spice powder is mandatory. No spicy recipes can be found without it. It comes from the turmeric root. The spice has been used for its medicinal, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties for thousands of years.During winter you can find this root easily in the Indian market. You can easily grow this root. Just plant good rhizome in the soil. In a few days, you will see leaves propagating from the soil.
This tea can be made either with fresh turmeric root or with powder. This tea has many health benefits. If one regularly drinks this tea early in the morning you can see changes in your body weight.
You can make this tea by adding many other ingredients like ginger, cinnamon,. You can add a sweetener of your choice. But here I didn't use any.
For better absorption of turmeric into our body use pepper and ghee.

Ingredients:
Fresh turmeric root-1 inch piece
water- 2 cups
Whole pepper- 1 tsp
Ghee- 1 tsp(optional)
Method:
1. Peel the skin of the fresh turmeric root with a spoon.
2. Crush the root with pepper.
3. Boil 2 cup water. Add the crushed root-pepper into the water. Allow it to boil well for 2-3 minutes.
4. Switch off allow the turmeric to steep into the water.
5. Pour the clear tea into a serving glass. Add a tsp of ghee.
For weight loss drink this tea in an empty stomach.
