Plantain stem buttermilk with step by step pictures.The climate here in Chennai had slowly changed and we can feel the heat of the sun in midday.Although early morning/dawn, we can feel the cold weather afternoons are too sunny.As it is hot I felt its better to post a summer drink here.After making banans stem thoran I was left with a little piece of it which I made this buttermilk.
This buttermilk was super tasty and my kids too never complained anything while taking it.Try making this healthy buttermilk and feel satisfied.Other buttermilk recipes in my space include oats buttermilk, carrot mor, spiced buttermilk.

Ingredients:
- Plantain stem/ Vazhathandu, chopped-1\2 cup
- Curd/yogurt-1\2 cup
- Ginger- a small piece
- Water
- Salt - to taste
- Coriander leaves
Method:
1.Chop plantain stem into small pieces.
2.In a mixer/blender add chopped pieces, curd, water, ginger salt and blend well.
3.Pass the blended mixture through a fine sieve and filter it.Press it well to extract the juice from the fiber and discard the fiber.
4.Check for salt, dilute further and serve with chopped coriander sprinkled on top.
Serve immediately and keep it refrigerated and serve the same day.
