This briyani is so easy to make.We all like to have briyani on spl days.I made it for my son's birthday.Try it out.
Ingredients
- Prawns- 1\4 kg
- Basmathi rice- 2 cup
- Water-3 1\2 cup
- ghee+ oil-2 tsp
- Ga ram masala- 1 tsp
- Red chilly powdr-1\2 tso
- pepper powder-1\2 tsp
- onion-2
- tomato-1
- curd/yogurt-1\4 cup
- .salt to taste
- Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
- Bay leaf,elachi,cloves,cinammon-each a piece or two
To grind:
green chilli-1
coriander leaves- handful
mint(pudina leaves)-handful
Method:
1.Clean prawns well.Wash rice &soak in water for 1\2 hr.Cut onion& tomato.Grind the ingredients under " to grind".
2.In a heavy bottom pan heat oil& ghee and bay leaf,elachi,cinammon,cloves followed by onions& saute well till the onion become transculent.
3.Then add ginger garlic paste.saute for while,then add tomato & ground paste.

4.Add in curd followed by cleaned prawns and all spice powder.Saute for some time.Check for salt & spices.
6.Then add water and close with the pan.when water begin add rice,close &keep in low flame.
7.When it is 3\4th cooked ,remove from flame.Keep a dosa tawa on direct flame&keep the briyani pan over it.
8.In about 10-15 mins it will be ready.
Serve with any raitha or salad.
Note:
1.If u want more spicy u can split chilli and add while sauteing.
2.You can roast cashew in ghee & add.I didn't do here.
