Masoor dal fry is another simple and easiest recipe. This can be used as gravy for hot steaming rice and as a side dish for Indian flatbread. It nearly takes less time to cook this recipe and here I have used open pot method to cook my dal other it would be even quicker if I use a pressure cooker. Just cook the dal, temper it and you are done.
When you are lazy to cook any food but still you opt for homemade healthy food just make this simple dal and relish it.

Serves 3
Ingredients:
- Masoor dal-1\2 cup
- Onion-1, chopped
- Green chilly-1
- Garlic pods-5
- Turmeric powder-1\4 tsp
- Jeera-1\4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves- to garnish
To temper:
- Oil/ghee-1 Tsp
- Mustard seeds-1\2 tsp
- Red chilly-1
1.Clean dal well in water. In a pot add cleaned dal, garlic, green chilly, onion, turmeric, water and cook it.
2.When the dal is cooked well add salt and mix well.
3. Heat a tempering pan with ghee or oil, add red chilly, mustard and pour over the dal.
